What are you getting when you hit F10?  It will often start zoomed way in so you might just get blue or whatever colour the ground is under wherever it's looking until you zoom back out.

All you have to do is launch via Steam ‘Play’.  If you launch via bin-mt exe you still get ST, even if MT Preview is selected in Steam launch options.

I couldn't believe it, after the latest update I have the same problem as you guys. I have nothing in the ME. So when do we get a fix for this so I can create some new missions?

When I play a mission, and go to Map, I get nothing but the plane icon. Zoomed In and Out with no effect. Tried MT and it doesn't work well for me. Lots of stuttering.

So are you saying that the lower end users will have to spend a load just to enjoy DCS? My rig handles ST fine and I am happy with that at mo. If there will be no fix, can I roll back to a previous version?

I took a couple of screenshots for Steam users, as the problem is much easier to solve for users of the offline version of the game.
Most often, it is enough to use the Play MT Preview option (first screenshot).

If this does not work (it happens extremely rarely), use the Ask when Starting Game option (second screenshot).

In this case, you need to select MT mode every time you start the game.

This fixed it for me.  Had "play MT preview" selected as standard and it was still sending me to the ST version.  Guess I have to select it every time now...  The removal of single thread with the next update can't come soon enough.

I have the same problem, but my dcs not steamed, directly from here.

And in the "bin-mt" folder no DCS.exe! What happend? And what is the solution?

Please, help.

Please, help.

First check your AV hasn't quarantined the dcs.exe file, if it hasn't run DCS Repair, you have to do it from the command line so this link shows you how. Hopefully that should download the missing DCS.exe file.

Mainwhile reinstall solved the problem. But it is all right? I paid cca 800 USD for modules and terrains for now. Does ED unable to create a simple update? Does get this for my money?

Whos work at ED? Brainless droids? And they got full paycheck, of corse. And no communication: Sorry, we missed something, fixed it ASAP. Or whatever...

Only deep silence. Are we sheeps? Are we useful morons? Just more money. Wrong program? Never mind, just pay.

A reinstall fixes problems caused by the deletion of DCS files by your antivirus, but a smarter fix is to do a DCS repair, using the "DCS_updater.exe Repair" utility, as it would only download the missing file rather than reinstall all of them.

In any case, this fix is just temporary, as there is nothing preventing your AV from further deletions, you need to exclude the DCS files from your AV reach.

And how many posts have you seen of people missing the DCS.exe from their DCS-MT folder after the update?  Can't say I've seen more than yours, which would suggest a problem on your end rather than a widespread ED/DCS problem.  Following Rudel_chw's advice in the post above would be a good starting point.

This thread has answered and solved the exact same issue for me as well, so I just want state my two cents for payback.
FYI: I'm using Steam Edition

I couldn't figure why MT only worked sometimes and intermittently, after activating MT as per instructions above.
Soon realised there could be a difference of activation between using an old shortcut and the Steam window: PLAY
 

So Apply the following mods to your Shortcut  links and MT will be activated accordingly.

ST version 

steam://rungameid/223750

for the MT version 

steam://launch/223750/option1

Hi all

Back to DCS after some time,done latest update and looks like MT is issue for me (stutters),never had that in ST mode.

My GPU is bit old(gtx 1070 8gb) but went smooth untill latest update.

As monitor I use 4K Samsung TV and never had any problems in DCS (found options for me in settings for graphics),could it be that my GPU is not strong for MT??

It runs but with lots of stuttering?

Any tip?

this is the problem when posting a new issue on an older thread ... do you have the Map visible on the Editor or not?
