Lag Pursuit Roll

Quick question on the lag pursuit roll.

The description suggests that you maintain visual when performing the roll but as you start it in lag pursuit when you roll away you will lose visual for a few seconds. The image provided shows the maneuverer starting from lead pursuit inside the turn circle where I see how you would maintain visual.

The other two versions from the NAVAIR 01-245FDB-1T show inside the tun circle and outside with a high angle off.

Am I missing something or is it expected to lose sight for a couple of seconds?

Roll to the outside, and try to maintain visual as much as you can. You usually need a lag roll when you pull the pipper on and realize it's not a good firing position, so you're likely not in lag pursuit anymore
