Gilligan Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 As the title says - I've never experienced this before, but no matter which STPT I have active the TPOD defaults to H4. If I slew around hitting CZ will send the TPOD focus back to H4. Curious if I am doing something wrong? Only thing I'm doing different during start up here is setting the laser to the code specified in the knee board (1686) vs using the standard 1688. Any help would be great.
Viking 1-1 Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 I think I have the same issue in the mission "wounded hog" As I get close to the jdam target, no matter what I do, my TPod will look back to the Airfield, no matter if I hit "CZ" Before you call everything a "bug": RTFM & try again! Thank you. :music_whistling: I9-9900k, 32 GB RAM, Geforce RTX 2080 TI, 128 GB M2 SSD, 1 TB SSD, Track IR, Warthog Hotas
baltic_dragon Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 This is something I have zero control over.. the mission is set up exactly as all the others, so not sure what is going on there but I suspect something DCS-ish. Gilligan Posted September 11, 2024 Author Posted September 11, 2024 I think I figured this one out after messing with it some. If the Mavs are set to VIS mode the SPI gets stuck near H4 for me. I suspect it has something to do with that being where I did the Boresight procedure, however I'm certain that I unlocked everything before proceeding. Ensuring your agm65's are set to pre should fix the issue. I don't know if that is working as intended or a bug within DCS.
baltic_dragon Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Hey! I have no control over such issues as a mission maker, I just input the waypoints, so any problems of this kind are likely connected to DCS itself... sorry, can't help you there. 1 For more information, please visit my website. Gilligan Posted September 23, 2024 Author Posted September 23, 2024 Yeah no sweat. I believe this is an issue with DCS itself, and SPI problems with MAVs is on their short list for known issues being addressed in an upcoming patch, so hopefully that gets things back on track. I've just been setting the mavs to PRE before starting INS and then waiting to boresight them until we are over the mission area and that seems to be working, plus the added benefit of reduced parallax in the boresight alignment.
