imacken Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Not quite as good as TrackIR, but not having a hunk of plastic stuck to my head makes up for the small difference. The Tobii is mounted at the bottom of the monitor and it is tilted up. Hiob Posted May 25 Posted May 25 I ultimately went back to TrackIR, because I had an issue where opentrack wouldn’t properly translate pitch motion when looking far sideways. So basically dogfighting was impossible to me, because the camera wouldn’t look where I expected it to. No problems for general aviation though. So MSFS is fine with Opentrack and Tobii, but for DCS TrackIR won (again). I’m ok with that. "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"
imacken Posted May 25 Posted May 25 Just to say that MSFS 2020 and 2024 have both native support for Tobii, so no need for OpenTrack or GameHub. Also, I don't have the issue you describe in DCS with OpenTrack. Could be a settings thing. Have you tried GameHub with DCS? YSIAD_RIP Posted May 30 Posted May 30 I was using Tobii GameHub (TGH) but just switched to OpenTrack (OT) because I started to notice how much microstutter there was in head movement with TGH. I don't recall TGH being so laggy and jittery in the past. Something must have changed between some DCS and Tobii updates. Using the latest beta version of OT with the Relativetave translation and HamiltonAccela filter is pretty smoth. imacken Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Can everyone interested in Tobii please message Eagke Dynamics about getting integrated support which almost all games have now.
