gonvise Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Hi... I always fly in VR, and the addition of the pilot's body has been a turning point due to the realism and having the kneeboard at a glance, but I can't see the oxygen tube when I look at my chest, in fact, I found out it existed when I forced my head forward and "suddenly" it appeared. On the other hand, when I move my head, the body also moves from one side to the other, I don't know if it's intentional, but it's not very real. 1
ED Team Solution Lord Vader Posted September 26, 2024 ED Team Solution Posted September 26, 2024 Hello @gonvise This is done by design. The mask is attached to the head model and once you're in a first person perspective, the head is removed entirely to avoid it being in the way. That's why you say it "suddenly appears", because you moved forward and actually crossed the threshold where the entire head appears. And yes, it's intentional the pilot body moves with your own head movements. 1 Esquadra 701 - DCS Portugal - Discord
gonvise Posted September 26, 2024 Author Posted September 26, 2024 Thanks, but It's a shame, the tube should be visible, in VR at least, and move when you turn your head just like the shadow changes when you do so; on the other hand, the movement of the body when you move your head is unreal.
ED Team Lord Vader Posted September 27, 2024 ED Team Posted September 27, 2024 The body model and animations can be reviewed in the future. If something needs improving we will certainly do it. 1 Esquadra 701 - DCS Portugal - Discord

When taxiing and on the rollout you release the stick / yoke because you are steering with the rudder pedals, can this be modeled in the future please (like the Hornet pilot holding the restraining handle on a cat launch)?
