Hi, i have 100+ hours in this module, always used the radio without any problems, but recently while playing i cant send radio message to any receiver, ATC, tanker, AWACS, etc, only ground unit receive my radio. I can listen to every broadcast while tuned in the frequency.

Tried using easy comms, communication menu, binding every hotas radio switch but nothing worked. This happens SP and MP with only this module.

Any suggestion?

A couple of questions come to mind.

  • Can you confirm you're using the proper Mic Switch, the proper radio and have tuned the correct frequency for the receiver in question?
  • Is this mission specific?
  • Please upload a short track of such a thing happening
  • Have you tried a DCS repair?
  • Have you uninstalled all mods (if any)?
  • Can you try to rename your Saved Games\DCS, try again with a minimal config, and check if the problem persists?

Neither could I and it's been that way for a long time, way before the last update.  In game radios don't work either. I had guys in my group looking at my desktop and game screens on Discord and everything is set correctly. Correct PTT buttons for the radios. Just one in the Jug. All the lights work when you push all the right buttons, but still no comms.

What do you mean when you say "no comms"? Does the comm menu not open at all? Can you not select items from the comm menu? Is there no response from the unit you're calling?

All I can say is, the radio menu and radio system both work okay for me and I'm not aware of any open issues in DCS regarding comms.

LOL, did you not read I had my entire group streaming my screen on Discord, verifying EVERYTHING is setup correctly. Streamed it while testing, so we can watch the radio overlay screen lights light up, when I, or anyone else keys their mic. So now use discord comms. I'm not the only one in the group having no joy with comms in game. Did the Admin on/off, on everything as well. This took place over numerous occasions, over several weeks.......... No joy!    I've been a beta tester at IL2, and can attest too how beta testing should work. Look at stuff that wasn't supposed to be affected by the update.

Someone needs to introduce this generation to Old Mr. Murphy.

DCS = SNAFU...... but thanks for your payment.

DEVS = DILLIGAFF........ but thanks for your payment.

UPDATE = BOHICA....... but we'll fix it soon..... :megalol:

LWIN + NUMPAD 4, in all the Mustangs has been broken since day one of the Mustang. It should look like LWIN + NUMPAD 6 over the other shoulder.

The sooner the Open Beta is done away with the better. Modules, updates, and hot fixes that can't pass closed beta 100% should never make it into game. Selling products that are incomplete, defective, and now add unsupported, is against most consumer laws, in most countries.

This is JMTCW from almost 21 years of experience with ED and DCS. I've had this game on the HDD, SSD since LOCK ON came out in 2003. I'm still waiting on the Me-262 I paid for. I've lost interest in the excuses you will see in the reply they give. Give me the Swalbe or a voucher for another plane.... but a finished one though. Do you have any completed ones?

So your issue is not with in-game comms to AI assets like ATC, AWACS, tankers and the like, and is instead related to DCS Voice Chat?

In that case I would recommend to report that in the appropriate place; this thread seems to be related to comms with AI units.

I remember that for some a couple of patches ago, Easy Comms was activated again. If you can talk to the Chief, that could mean the selector dial gets set to INT and never turns back to VHF. Maybe check for Easy Comms in game settings and take a look at the dial (left console, back) when in cockpit and trying to communicate...
