Crudbasher Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 (edited) Last night I was flying with my new RIO friend showing him how the LANTIRN pod works. We were playing on a server I was hosting locally and he was in my back seat. We had locked onto a target in the LARNTIRN pod and had all the configuration setup (AG mode, GBU-12 selected and configured). As I was going to make my run I realized there was an enemy AI plane heading right for me. I quickly switched to AA mode, activated PAL on the radar and selected my only Sparrow. Fortunately I was able to lock on and hit him. Then I went back into AG mode. Unfortunately we couldn't get the bombs to drop. I noticed the station arm lights on the front panel no longer showed the stations were armed and cycling the station switches no longer activated the station (they stayed barberpolled). It felt like the game forgot there were bombs on the pylons. (I did check via external view the bombs were still there). Master arm was on the whole time. We restarted the mission and were able to drop bombs no problem (did not switch to AA mode this time). Did I do something wrong with my switches or does this sound like a MP bug? I can provide a track file if that helps. Edited October 1, 2024 by Crudbasher
RustBelt Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Long shot, but how many Gs did you pull? And did the RIO put the AWG-9 back into a “while scan” mode before starting back into the A/G mode? If you took the radar in the front seat you may have gotten the AWG-9 stuck. Also don’t forget Program Reset back there on the CAP panel. It os Pac-man tech. Or it could be a bug.
Lt_Jaeger Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Did you leave the weapon selector outside of gun / off ? 1

I'll see if I can recreate it. 5 hours ago, Lt_Jaeger said: Did you leave the weapon selector outside of gun / off ? Ahhh that might have been it. I was in Sparrow and I think I went right back into A/G. Brilliant! I'll see if I can reproduce it and if this fixes it. Thank you!
