Nealius Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 The Master Arm switch in the Viper--and nearly all switches in the Hornet including air refuel--function as an "on-else-off" switch. Physical controller switch goes up, virtual switch goes up. Physical controller switch goes down, virtual switch goes down. However this does not work with the Viper's air refuel switch. The virtual switch stays up when setting Physical controller switch down. Air refuel switch should follow the standard of other switches, and other modules, and be more appropriate for use with physical controllers 2-way switches. 1

Indeed, the Viper doesn't have this feature, while Quaggles' and Munkwolf's keybind repository does. In any case, it's easily solved. Just map it as you normally do for OPEN. Then map it again for CLOSE, only this time, select the "OFF" position in the drop down. And you get the exact same effect as an ON-ELSE-OFF switch. Happy skies!
Nealius Posted October 5, 2024 Author Posted October 5, 2024 That's a useful system. When did this get added to DCS?
MAXsenna Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 A couple of years back. Believe it or not. Didn't get much attention in the Newsletter, while I think it was mentioned in the changelog.
rob10 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 It's good to have this one come up every once and a while. Like MAXsenna said, it didn't get lot of attention at the time and is easily overlooked but very powerful functionality. 2
