Is there a way to still play the cold start Cage the Bear Campaign?

I noticed that it is gone from the campaign list.

Removed in the latest update: "Updated Cage the Bear campaign by Kaba, unified into one campaign, removed variants for better maintenance".

You could go back to 2.9.7 and save it but it was bugged so it's not very useful.

That's a shame.  They should have gotten rid of the hot start, not the cold.

Haven't tried it with this mission in particular but I have opened other missions in the mission editor and changed the player aircraft to a cold and dark aircraft.

I'm not at my PC at the moment but from memory open the mission editor go to File>Open navigate to the folder that contains the Cage The Bear mission (can't remember if they're in the DCS folder or the saved game folder sorry) click on the player aircraft on the carrier deck and edit it so you have to go through start up. Then File>Save As and give it a name.

If you get stuck I'm happy to load it up and write it step by step.

It's in the DCS World\mods\aircraft\F14\missions\campaigns and we can do that but it'll screw the mission timeline, ex. the fligth you were supposed to join is already long gone.

I haven't flown Cage The Bear for a long time but from memory it's a lone F-14, I've used this method on multiple hot start missions without issue.
