  1. @jungleboy123 Sorry no Orion isn't for sale. @Speedy_Sorry I've had such a faff sending to the EU that I only post to Mainland UK. @Tricky11 Can have the base for £95 posted. Send me a PM if you're interested.
  2. Damper arrived today. Overall very impressed with it. I don't have my pedals mounted on the base, instead they're screwed through the carpet into the floorboards. Due to them being an inch or so lower than with the base attached installation was a bit tricky but only took 25-30 minutes. I made a mistake with the placement of the bracket so could only move the right pedal about half way. It was an easy fix but again tricky to get the 5mm hex key into such a tiny space to loosen it. I'd recommend only tightening it finger tight until the whole damper is mounted, then back it off until it moves freely along the shaft of the damper when you move the pedals. Push the right pedal to full deflection which will put the bracket in the correct location on the shaft then use the 5mm hex to tighten the bracket down keeping the right pedal fully deflected. Have used it for an hour or 2 this evening with the F-14 and it works extremely well. Damper is very smooth and it has eliminated that bounce in the middle that Virpil pedals have... I do use both spings though. Along with the counter balance kit Virpil's accessories so far this year are top notch.
  3. Looks like Windows recognises it though so could try to reset to default. Is the base connected to the motherboard or a usb hub? Probably a long shot but are you able to create a new profile for it? At least then you'll get the option to select your base and grip which may kick it into life
  4. Had the same issue with the DLC/Countermeasures button while setting up my VFX this evening after a several month hiatus. I went into the controllers menu (in your second screenshot above) and reset my base to default. After that was able to create a new profile in the VPC Software and the button worked again. Hope you get it sorted
  5. Thanks for the tips @cow_art. Great they've started to be shipped. Hopefully will land in the UK in a week or 2.
  6. Oooo exciting, thanks Jack. Looking forward to getting hold of these
  7. Hi @JackFlash I've ordered these today. Can you tell me what the current wait time is on the MFD's and mounts please? Thanks
  8. I've got 2 Warthog bases (no grip) One has been used for 2 months (bought when the other one broke as a stop gap while waiting for a Virpil base) The second was bought in 2018 although it was replaced under warranty in 2020. I had an extension on it but when I took it off the gimbal twisted 90 degrees and I think it dislodged a a wire as Windows detects it but nothing works the Axis maybe but it's been over a year since I tried with it so can't remember. I think it'll be an easy repair. There's a box for one but not the other. A pair of Saitek Combat rudder pedals. These are unboxed and don't have the 2 clip on foot rests. A set of Thrustmaster Cougar MFD's 3 years old fully boxed with all inserts, card screens, manuals etc. Reverb G2 V2 Headset fully boxed with manuals etc. Has only been used for seated games such as DCS so controllers have never been used. Also has a pair of VR Optician lens protectors. While not shown in the photos, the headphones are also in the box. I removed these when I got it, as I use separate headphones. I'd rather sell as a bundle instead of splitting, so if anyone in the UK is interested, send me a message or reply here. £400 for the lot.
  9. Ahh nice, thanks @Marshallman i'll have a nosy at those links cheers
  10. Does anyone know the correct name for this type of switch (the black one for your thumb) i'm considering replacing the 4 on the 64 grip with this type instead
  11. Has anyone got one of these yet are have they still not been released?
  12. Mine arrived yesterday. I installed the counter balance kit which is amazing. The collective moves freely and smoothly with zero resistance. After using the base with clutches for 2 years I wasn't sure how much of an impact a counter balance kit could have however it's a huge improvement over the clutches. Onto the grip itself. It's great to have the proper grip with all the correct buttons. It is very plasticy though, the switches feel cheap, the cursor joystick alao feels quite fragile and for some reason calibrates off centre tried 4 or 5 times with the same result. The jettison switch covers feel a bit strange when you lift them up and they spring straight back down so I find to press the switch under them I've got to burrow my finger under the cover. Maybe that's what the real aircraft is like though. There is a little bit of wobble with it too it moves about half an inch left and right using a chair mount and extension plate. Everything is tightened but it's still a bit wobbly. I'll probably keep the grip as it does look really cool and as I tend to fly the Apache mainly having the grip is a plus. Compared to the other Virpil products I've got I find it a bit disappointing though
  13. That won't be possible @Marshallman My order number is below and my grip is 492. Virpil told me that they're not shipped in order. Instead they'll despatch ones ordered from their own site which could be serials 1-99 then send the next lot, say 100-199 to their UK distributors and so on. So even the person who ordered theirs first across all regions could end up with a serial higher than someone who ordered theirs the following day.
  14. Oh no that's a ball ache, are you in the UK? hopefully will ship soon @BIGNEWY It was aye, first thing I did when I logged in for work at half 7 was checked the Virpil site
  15. Looks like these have landed in the UK. Just had my shipping confirmation so hopefully be here tomorrow.
  16. Thanks for taking the time to reply. The DFR is something i"m really looking forward to, the passthrough too. I've just bought a small keyboard to use as a keyboard unit in the Apache so that'll be a real plus. I've never experienced screen door even with the DK2 I started with, probably due to an eye condition I have. I'll probably keep the G2 however my wife came in yesterday and told me she'd ordered me a Quest Pro so hopefully be in in a couple of days.
  17. Hi all, I've currently got a Reverb G2, was a very nice upgradevto the CV1 I was using however it's 3 years old so I was planning to get a Varjo Aero to replace it, wirh WMR reaching EOL with Microsoft was even more keen. As that has been now discontinued and I can only find used in the UK, not prepared to shell out for a used one in case it goes wrong. My budget is £1300 and have been looking at the Quest Pro. I like the idea of Foveated Rendering and also the pass though sounds nice too. Can anyone who's gone from a G2 to a Quest Pro or any Pro users give their opinions on it? Is it a better headset to use than the G2? How is the visual quality compared to it with the lack of DP input. Would I be better off waiting to see what the G2 community comes up with to replace WMR. I only started looking into the Quest Pro on Friday night and am a bit bamboozled by what I'd need to know or puchase along side it, link cable for example. Can anyone offer any advice please? Thanks
  18. You're welcome, sounds like you're all set once the sale hits.
  19. Haha that made me chuckle, Aye call me Turd . So I had a Warrhog and used it with a long gooseneck extension for helicopters which, after moving some springs about worked as a cyclic would, stayed in place when I let it go as was so smooth even around the centre. I upgraded my WH to a CM3 about 18 months ago and overall am happy with it. The clutches work well however out of the box it was a bit clunky around the centre. I stripped it down and applied Nyogel 767a to the clutches and that has pretty much eradicated the feel problems. The customisation of the CM3 is a real benefit of it. I swap between a 20cm gooseneck for helicopters and a 10cm straight extension for fixed wing with a few turns of an hex key am set in a couple of minutes. I can't speak for the Warbird as I've never used one but once I got my CM3 setup how I wanted it I'd happily recommend it. I don't think the CM3 is overkill and due the the all metal construction, customisation options and Virpil's great customer support a very nice upgrade from the WH.
  20. The VFX works with the Warthog base. The axis for DLC functioned as button is the only limitation I found when I used it with my WH base. The twist axis may also work but I had that locked out so never tried it.
  21. Thanks for the pictures @corbu1 that's a great setup. Is that under desk or have you got both parts of the Pro? Could you let me know the floor area it takes up roughly too please? My games room isn't huge and has a desk with my Truck Sim setup and another desk for work. Hopefully the floorboards will take the weight of it . If I do get one I may be onto you for how you mounted your collective too ha. Thanks for taking the time to take pics and post here for me.
  22. No probs, I messaged them this morning. They said they were busy responding to the same message from lots of us awaiting this grip
