Ramstein Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Why is it when I try to make a Windy Summer day and I hit save at the bottom, it tell sme invlaid file name? Is the a template like file that you must make to able able to load it? It is really confusing me the weather setting look easy, but it rejects changes, loading, and saving themm.. thanx.. Also, how can you tel if the wind is working if it is a light breeze, so far I can't tell, plus ther eis no windsock and I am aware of.. thanx,, :joystick: ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR
Safari Ken Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 On the PVI, on the bottom row of buttons, right in the middle, is one that will give you the wind speed and direction. Also you can look at the nose of the aircraft; there's a sort of telltale at the tip (the three fins) that moves with the wind. I don't know about the save button problem you're having, but I never had to save my settings. I think that's simply so you can save a template, so you can choose it from the drop-down box for later missions you create. Remember also that after you choose a template from the drop-down, you need to click the Load button to actually make it effective. But if you're just making a one-off weather setting for a mission, just enter your settings and save the mission, and it should be fine.
CAT_101st Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 You need to save the mission as is first giving it a name. and when making changes to the weather you need to hit the OK button at the botom of the weather screan. Trust me you will know when you have the wind working. I had to town down the wind in one of my missions my guys keep hitting the mountans ;) Home built PC Win 10 Pro 64bit, MB ASUS Z170 WS, 6700K, EVGA 1080Ti Hybrid, 32GB DDR4 3200, Thermaltake 120x360 RAD, Custom built A-10C sim pit, TM WARTHOG HOTAS, Cougar MFD's, 3D printed UFC and Saitek rudders.
