jpm1 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 i purchased the G15 (with LCD screen) years ago for me it's the best hardware ever . don't know what the G19 offers that justify the 200E but for me it's bit expensive for a color LCD screen . it seems the G15 with LCD screen's still available in some stores i would rather recommend you that one , it has 18 programmables keys and costs 130 less . that one Cheers SU-25 missions [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

joey45 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I havethe G15 w/LCD... its a great board and no probs in 3 years... only that the volume thingy broke last month.... but no dramas there as I hardly used it.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. -fox- Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I havethe G15 w/LCD... its a great board and no probs in 3 years... only that the volume thingy broke last month.... but no dramas there as I hardly used it.. For me it's just the other way round... Had it for three years but after some months the black coating on the keys slowly began to rub off. Because I was lazy I didn't try to get a replacement (last month I read, that this was a known issue with the first edition and that they were actually replacing them in several cases). The volume dial still worked fine and together with the other media-buttons, it was my favorite feature of the G15 as my PC also functions as my Media Center. I rarely used the programmable G-keys though and when I did, I never needed them all. The display was ok (showed title and position of tracks in WinAmp for example) but nothing really important either. Two weeks ago it began to behave weird and some keys sporadically showed no effect when pressed. I checked if it was because of loose connections or dirt but it wasn't. I don't think it was a mechanical failure but it quickly drove me insane, so last week I dusted off my good old Cherry G81 and immediatley enjoyed the differences in size and pressure point. I don't miss my G15.
jpm1 Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 the only little default of the G15 are the keys which are a bit small but you can't have everything or you need a huge desktop that not everybody can afford . other than that i don't know what a reboot caused by freeze is anymore and it's priceless I don't miss my G15. i bet you don't know the G15 task applet Had it for three years but after some months the black coating on the keys slowly began to rub off...I read, that this was a known issue with the first edition it was . i have the second edition i have no problem SU-25 missions [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
