LKNANML Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 X52 Pro precision slide First I thought it was DCS Black shark but now I see that the precision slide on my 52pro shakes in multiple positions across the slider band. Is there a sensitivity fix or is this normal for the controller? I would like to use it as a zoom but the screen shakes to much at different times. I can make it not shake when in certain positions but it can sometimes take a few changes with the slider to get there and that really takes the fun out of the game.
deadsmell Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 hey, you should be able to correct that problem. How do you have the slider configured in sst tools? do you have a big enough dead zone in the middle where you can be sure there wont be any input when the slider is in that position? I would guess that by playing with that a bit is how youll get it fixed. I use the slider for zoom, and it works great, I know alot of other people use the slider with no problems as well. Dont let the smell get to ya...............

I have the 1st X52 and it has this exact same problem. Pressing the Clutch button (making the light flash) would make it happen also, like it is a voltage problem or some thing. The above suggestion should fix it though, it is a work around however as essentially you assign the top of the slider as the zoom in key and the bottom of it as the zoom out key, with a small bit in the centre acting as a dead zone. It would be nice to be able to use the zoom as an assigned axis within BS, it's much nicer to use that way, I find (well, before I got TrackIR). There may be a mod for the X52/pro that fixes this issue with the voltage. I had thought they might have fixed this problem as I think it was quite common in the normal X52 :noexpression: Specs: GA-Z87X-UD3H, i7-4770k, 16GB, RTX2060, SB AE-5, 750watt Corsair PSU, X52, Track IR4, Win10x64. LKNANML Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 It's set to precision slide in SST and zoom within BS but I can see from windows, game controllers, properties that the slider is shaking there and in the dead zone section it shakes in random places along the notch marks. I can stop the shake most of the time but it takes a few secs to find the right spot and in game I can just let it shake a bit while I am at the zoom or take the time and lose track of something trying to kill me dead... I had banded the zones and did the old zoom in out and stop in the center but it's just not becoming 2nd nature to me when I fly. I fig maybe someone fig out how to fix this sucker with a band aid, 2 paper clips and a rubber band by now..LOL I just noticed that my rotary nobs do the same thing but not as bad. Humm
