  1. I think my first flight sim was Falcon. 1987 or 88 ish. Janes became popular and was damn good. MS FS. Just wasn't my thing. DCS BS. Only crap. Since then DCS has been on top. For those upset about some of the modules you need to read the fine print. Early Access. I am somewhat on your side with just how many of them are still Early Access but DCS is still BY FAR the best Combat flight sim you can play today. As far as the SuperCarrier goes. I am fine with it will be released when ready. Although it looks like it will be released with readyish but that doesn't mean you have to buy it. I am. DCS is the longest games series I have ever played. I don't see that changing. Between software and hardware it is one hell of an investment but it's been worth every penny. Time to go practice being a sea dart to get ready.
  2. I enjoyed this mission a ton. It's one of my get in, get dirty get out missions. I like the AA coming out of the trees here and there.. Def hard to nail some of those. Trucks are pretty ez to track. More then once my missile went through the ship not hitting it when clearly it should have. Mostly from way out though. I'd like to see the ship moving out. Add some time sensitive aspect. Maybe moving out into overwhelming sea or air defense so you can't just catch up and take it out. The tower behind the hills on the way out begs for some sort of "Barons home attack" or something. Add some AA, trucks maybe a get away helicopter chase to take him out.. Some stinger man pads would add to the fun as well. JUST NO RADAR driven missiles. I love poppin flares and having near misses. First time into the mission. CRAP AA fire dive dive, crap.. Power lines.. Ahh Rescue I need a pick up.............. LOL
  3. Good god that music sucked for flying.. Nice mission though once the music is gone.
  4. Damn I missed this dam mission again!!! Can anyone post it up again?
  5. Ok.. It's time to post the mission somehow..LOL I agree.. He made it for public release and look at all of us know asking for it.. Someone host it for a while and I will do the same.
  6. 1. To low... I think it's about 4m from the ground they can turn off.. 2. Damage from being shot or pushing the heli to far out of the envelope. Few others I can't find in my book right now
  7. Rough Auto rotation landing but I made it.. Came to a stop upright after a long busted gear skid then I hear something coming down the runway.. Humm Look right.. Look left.. Crap Crap Crap.. Eject... Plane came to a stop right as it hit my heli....
  8. This has happened to me a handful of times. Once when I was on auto pilot. The heli went on through all the route points till for some reason lost total control and flipped about into the ground. It's a harsh boom and your looking at the outside of your heli though..
  9. I am pretty sure you can use http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=AddDownload#adddownload to upload a mission. I have IM'd Ronht a few times with no success.
  10. Does anyone have a training mission setup to run system failures? After a few amazing landing pulled off with the finesse of a brick falling out of the sky I could use some auto rotation practice and system shut down procedures. I'd like to see a basic over airfield training and some failure over hilly terrain IE like in the Dam missions floating around.. I have not got around to making my own missions yet.
  11. Anyone have this mission? I'd like to play it....
  12. A black KA-50 was the feature flight player in a movie called "Black Shark" and the name stuck. At least that's what it says on pg 1-9 of the manual. :-)
  13. Anyone have this mission? Can you upload it somewhere so we can have a run at it.. I like the dam map area and the other dam map keeps kicking the @#$% out of me..lol
  14. KABUL – A Tornado fighter jet crashed inside NATO's largest base in southern Afghanistan on Monday in the second major crash on the base in two days, officials said. The jet crashed inside Kandahar Airfield during takeoff at 7:20 a.m. Afghanistan time (0250 GMT), said Capt. Ruben Hoornveld, a spokesman for the NATO-led force. The two-member crew ejected and were being treated at the base hospital. There was no indication that insurgent activity caused the crash, he said, but officials could not immediately say why the plane went down. The jet caught fire and emergency personnel responded. The crash of the Tornado is the third aircraft to go down in Afghanistan in three days. A U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet crashed early Saturday in central Afghanistan, killing two crew members. U.S. officials say insurgent fire did not bring down the plane. Last week, Taliban militants downed an Mi-6 transport helicopter in southern Afghanistan, killing six Ukrainian civilians on board and an Afghan child on the ground.
