I've recently altered my HUD colour from default to digital green by editing the HUD_init.lua file. I was wondering is it possible to alter the HMS from yellow to digital green in a similar way?

Thanks & regards

Chris

Hi,

You can. I changed mine to that of the "Night HUD" colour. Which has just soften the colour down. Have a look here c:/ka-50/scripts/aircraft/Ka-50/cockpit/materials Line 73 and just add the colour you want. Make sure you use notepad ++ and not the default version. Timm

Hi Bud,

The green HUD is a MODMAN addon and can be found over at LOCKON under mods. Timm

Timm, thanks I had this but couldn't seem to get it to work with Modman(maybe needs an idiots guide?). I have however just messed with my init.Lua file and now have a digital green HUD!

Barra if you want to change the colour ogf the HUd to Mint green all you need to do is this :

copy and paste this in the materials section of the materials.lua file

materials["MINTGREEN"] = {70, 255, 160, 255}

then copy and paste this into your HUD_init.lua file(its line 72 for me) or just change the last bit.

indication_color = get_color(materials["MINTGREEN"])

if you also want a mint green HMS just change the bold bit of the relevent line in the materials.lua file read like this (line 72 for me)

textures["INDICATION_HELMET_KA50"] = {"Indication_Helmet.tga", materials["MINTGREEN"]}

works like a charm.
