Unplayable

first 2 missions can't even be played. Didn't bother to try the rest if this is how it starts.

1st mission: couldn't complete because Weasel 11 and 12 land at a different airfield.

2nd mission: can't even get off the ground because nobody starts taxiing after getting clearance for taxi.

 

This is extremely disappointing, I had played other campaigns before for different modules and got fed up with missions being unplayable after every update and then having to wait weeks for it to be fixed, only to be broken again after a week with a new update. I figured I'd try it again with this campaign and it's just more of the same. It's impossible to feel any form of immersion having to skip every mission trying to find one that is not bugged.

I was going insane trying to work out if I was doing something wrong until I saw your comments. Thanks for also making mention of the bugs.

Any time! I haven't tried the other missions yet because I was already frustrated enough with the first 2...

Really hope there will be some long term solution with all these campaigns becoming broken after every update.

The only long term solution is to avoid updating DCS while in the middle of a campaign. Unfortunately it takes time for 3rd party developers to know what has changed, and then implement it. Not only that but their fixed then have to wait for ED to implement them usually. 
 

if you really can’t wait, just revert to the earlier DCS version

@ricktoberfest I think it may be a ground check comm flow issue. Maybe. But I've never figured out how to do a check on VHF interplane with the engines being started.

No, its the new DCS version that made all Syrian campaings unsuable. It is fixed by the creators but for some reason ED don´t want to release a hotfix, and let the product be broken for 3 weeks straight.

Indeed, this was broken by the Syria map update which we had no idea and no info about. I think the process of compiling the update is much more complicated than just creating a hot fix from campaign missions, and since there are final touches being made to the taxi directors we need to wait for these to be completed.. I think we are pretty close. Sorry about the frustration, guess we all have to learn to live with that, DCS being a super complex exosystem with a lot of moving parts.
