Hello,

 

Long time flight simmer - New to this sim.

 

How do I set up one mission so that it starts up with a cold and dark system?

 

I would like to practice/learn how to start the a/c.

Just fire up the mission editor, place a helicopter on an airport and choose takeoff from taxi (i think it's called like that) on the menu to the right. Save your mission et voila.

Launch the SP GUI. Select 'Editor'.

 

You will then be taken to the Mission Editor. On the left of the screen under the 'Object' tab, click on the Helicopter icon. Will light up. Then select any Airbase from the Map and click it. You will see the Helo Icon appear over the Runway.

 

On the right of the editor screen, find the 'Skill' tab and click. Select 'Player' from the drop-down menu. Also on the right, find the 'Type' tab and select 'Take-Off from Parking' from the Drop-Down menu.

 

Then hit the Blue 'Fly Mission' icon on the left. You will be prompted to save the mission. Do so and you're good to go.

One more question - how do I get the internal cockpit display to not "rotate" when the mouse is used?

 

I want to be able to push the buttons with the mouse. Right now, the mouse moves the screen around.
