Pavlin_33 Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 (edited) Dear VKB, I am writing you an open request to improve your "Gunfighter IV" base. I had just bought one brand new only to be disappointed by a very unpleasant grinding feel and sound when operating the stick. It turns out that the issue is caused by the cam/bearing assembly and it makes this quite expensive base feel like cheap plastic. Luckily by experimentation I have manged to mitigate the issue. Solution was, applying Nyogel 767A to the cam's surface which completely got rid of both the grinding feel and the noise. I was ready to return the stick back, but after this mod it's here to stay. My request is the following: please consider pre-lubricating fore mentioned parts or at least offer some sort of heavy-duty dampening lube. You have a great product that is missing a small but very important part to function as expected: a high quality premium product. ~S~ Edited November 22, 2024 by Pavlin_33 1 1 i5-4690K CPU 3.50Ghz @ 4.10GHz; 32GB DDR3 1600MHz; GeForce GTX 1660 Super; LG IPS225@1920x1080; Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB; Windows 10 Pro

Tensorial_Architect Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I've dealt with VKB for years now and find them to be a very reputable manufacturer. I am sure they will help you get things sorted. My Gunfighter IV base has zero issues. One excellent method for appreciating the beauty of the Universe is to learn the language it was written in, .... mathematics.

Ecco, il coraggio è questo, altrimenti non è più coraggio ma incoscienza.
