rjsagel Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Hello, With all of your help, I am now flying my Black Shark! Fantastic sim. One more question please - I use a Saitek X52 joystick. What buttons do I need to set up to do the following: 1. Select the weapon type - like cannon, missles, etc. Is there a button that cycles thru these? 2. Fire the weapon(s) 3. Lock/Unlock a target any other functions I am missing? Sorry to bother here but the training videos go too fast and are not easy to follow in this area. Thats again and cheers, Ron Sagel
slug88 Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) If I were you I'd just copy the layout of the actual Ka-50 sticks on your X52. That's what I did with my X52 on day one, and haven't looked back since. You can find the layout of the Ka-50 collective and cyclic in the manual. Edited June 17, 2009 by slug88 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HitchHikingFlatlander Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 ^I agree with him I do the same although I have a collective so I only program the stick and use the throttle for other commands. http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
Ricky 103 Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 I have the X52 and i must say when i got this sim i did look at the flight controls and set it up that way and now i very rare use the keyboard.
JG14_Smil Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 hehe when the shat hits the fin and Sams start flying, it is good to know we can toggle our IP lights with the touch of our thumbs... :) I never use a keyboard, so I took the time to look up the commands provided in your Blackshark program icons (hint hint). Full real- if you use gamer cheats they are different. 'I', 'C' and 'Y' to select weapons 'Space' to fire cannon, 'RALT' 'Space' to release weapons (hold a sec for vikhers) 'O' designates a target and 'Enter' locks a target
PeterP Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I found this X52 layout - It looks very plausible (I use myself a Hotas Cougar) Here are the hotas setup for the LLTM:
