grimdar Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Hi all! First off, I love this module! It's like a poor man's Apache which Iove, has a lot of 80's vibes too even though the electronics are somewhat modern. Anyway I'm just trying to figure out if this is by design or if it's an issue I'm having. When I use the MMS to lock onto a target, such as a vehicle, then fire the laser, I've noticed sometimes the laser sometimes drifts off the target even though the target is still locked. Seems to happen more when the heli is slight moving, but even with the AI pilot in control and hovering I've noticed this happen too. The issue is that the missile or rocket then misses the target. Any info greatly appreciated, thanks!

The drift will increase over time which can lead to missing the target so you definitely need to modify the lock if you notice it on the MFD. NeedzWD40 Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 If you're talking about point track, then you can utilize the offset functionality to refine your point as your perspective changes to keep the target in constraints. Just tap point track again, move the crosshairs to where you want the new point to be, then hit it once more to designate the offset. Pressing it again will return to the baseline point if you need to refine it again.
Coota0 Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 This was a thing in the KW. You quickly learned to keep you thumb on the LOS control to maintain your laser on target.
