Wingwing F-16 Throttle TDC Help

Recommended Posts

Hi...I just installed a Winwing F-16 throttle (with the rails and so on).
Everything seems cool...except TDC axis...I mean it seems to work (all edges are reached and center is spot on for both x/y axis), but I cannot consistently move in the intended position..When I try to press it up it goes right or diagonal....
I know that this happens because the throttle movement is not linear (while the older throttle I had were with tdc axis on the back)..
So is there a way to  mitigate this behavior?which strategies do you adopt?

Thanks

It sounds like the roller on the handle isn't consistently tracking on the upper guide bar. I had a similar problem when I set mine up and it took some fiddling (technical term) to get the upper bar adjusted so the roller tracks through the entire range of motion.

Are you sure you haven't swapped the X axis for the Y?
The old TM Cougar has the best natural TDC of all my devices. "Thumbs up"!

TDC axis, not throttle!
Cheers!

Yeah I am sure I haven't...I was testing axis and button responses in simapppro not in sim.

Invert one of them?

Yes It can be a solution...but the problem is more then in any throttle position the axis position shifts..so my question was more on older users, how do they cope with this.

Oh! Apologies, I misunderstood. I guess I'm just so used to it, that it's natural for me.

@VirusAM

I haven’t used my F-16 throttle for a while because…well you know…the Hornet…😉

I think it‘s simply a matter of getting used to how to move it correctly. The directions will never really change in relation to your thumb no matter the throttle position.
