markturner1960 Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 (edited) Should all these be rotated 90 degrees so the entrance is in front of the taxiway leading into it? Placement looks off to me as well..... Placement looks off to me as well..... Not sure what location this is, but I'm pretty sure this is intended. This is supposed to allow one to taxi into the HAS without requiring the aircraft to be towed-back (or winched backwards) into the HAS by ground crew. You see the same on various of the Syria map airbase shelters. Yes, it's a very tight turn For some airframes, too tight 1 System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH

Pretty hard to check without that info... But here's a screenshot with similarly positioned shelters, taken at H4 airbase (Syria map): 1 System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH

Again, I never said the shelters mentioned in the OP are positioned correctly, I'm simply saying that some shelters on some bases are in fact positioned like this (as you can see on the above Google sattelite image). It would help if the OP mentioned where this screenshot was taken, so that we/ED do not have to do the research ourselves by zooming in on each airfield. Additionally, we would need to know which era ED's Iraq map represents (I'm not sure if perhaps this was already shared at some point somewhere).
