RvEYoda Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 just want to say amazing... all the setups everyone is construction... thanks Yoda.. i hope to mess around with LEAVU2 soon... nono, that IS leavu2 you have there. The next version is 2.1 :). - bug fixes - performance fixes - realism fixes S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). sobe Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Some of the instructions for installing this program are a little cryptic. First the instructions for the Yoda export says: - Copy the contained folder into your FC2 folder and make sure the appropriate files in Config/Export/ are overwritten But when I put the files in FC2\export\config, the 2 files in Yoda are not in the config folder so nothing is overwritten. Second, the export file for the ERI radar is only 1k and won't that overwrite the 38k export file in the game. What do you do with the ERI fix file? thanks Trackir4 using the latest Trackir 5 software, Win10 Pro [Creator Update] updated from Win7Pro Pro 64Bit, Intel® Core™ i5-2500 3.30 GHz 6M Intel Smart Cache LGA115 , GigaByte GA-Z68XP-UD4 Intel Z68 Chipset DDR3 16GB Ram, GTX MSI Gaming 1060 [6 GB] Video Card, Main Monitor 1 on left 1920x1080 Touchscreen Monitor 2 on right 1920x1080 .
Nails Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Evening Sobe Stand alone PC (no Client/Host) This is how I interpreted the (shall we say) vague instructions. My OS is Windows 7, 64bit. 1. Unzip the Everything.zip 2. Copy all files from the Everything folder to C:/Program Files (x86)/Eagle Dynamics/LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2/Config (folder). 3. I then copied the following LUA files to the Config/Export folder: class Config ERI_radar (see note 4) Export LEAVU_fcns lua_keys lua_keys_win7 math_fcns netClient netSec Vector Yoda_Export 4. Use the Leavu+ERI compatibility LUA file if you want to use ERI Radar data and LEAVU together (I don't see why you wouldn't want to use both)? 5. Make a Folder on C:/ called LEAVU and from the LEAVU/Java folder copy: KeyBindings (Folder) - (See note 13) lib (Folder) LEAVU2 (Java App) 6. Make sure you download and install the JAVA VM (most of us are using the 32bit JRE, even on Windows 7 64bit, something to do with IE usually being 32bit even on 64bit systems): http://java.com/en/download/ie_manual.jsp?locale=en&host=java.com:80 7. From the Leavu/dll/jre32 folder copy all the dll files (6 of them) to your 'Windows/SysWOW64' (on Windows 7) folder. 8. From you C:/LEAVU folder, double click the LEAVU2 java .exe file. 9. Once LEAVU 2.0 is running Click the Instruments Tab > Click on LoF15MFD: a. No Frame: (if positioning to another monitor a Samsung 7" U70 for example) which has a pair of Cougar MFD's around them. b. Add: if you are using a touchscreen or your mouse to activate the various tabs on the MFD. 10. Click on the LoF15 MFD that is displayed in the Active Window > Bind Keys 11. Click on MFD1Keys > Load to load the default keybinds 12. Click the LoF15MFD in the Available window, if you want to add a second MFD then follow instructions from step 10. But load the MFD2 key bind file instead. 13. A note about using the keybinds with a Cougar MFD. The keybinds are numbered 0 thru 19. However, they should really be numbered 0-9, then 19 - 10. (For example, DCLT is the bottom right button of the MFD (button 10) in accordance with LEAVU's MFD1Keys this keypress was allocated to Button 19 (which is at the top left of the MFD). Reversing the 10 - 19 numbers sorted it out for me. Hope this helps others who are having snags getting LEAVU to work.
Renato71 Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Question of another kind - any tut/manual as how to use instruments themselves. I mean, what all those buttons do, acronyms, layout options and so on? I know few things, not enough to tutor others, but I may be missing something. I'm selling MiG-21 activation key. Also selling Suncom F-15E Talon HOTAS with MIDI connectors, several sets. Contact via PM.
Nails Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Question of another kind - any tut/manual as how to use instruments themselves. I mean, what all those buttons do, acronyms, layout options and so on? Agreed. Some are pretty obvious. But what do the NDCLT, NET, NORM SELF & SYNC options give you? Cracking little App though. It is what the U70's and the Cougar MFD's were made for - who needs F4-AF eh?
sobe Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Nails First I want to thank you for some clear instructions. Second, it did not work. I kind of screwed up my export folder in doing all of this so I am deactivating and reactivating the game and will try again Thursday. I get everything but there is no pic on the mdf. Hold off on your reinstall for a little while longer. I think that Yoda is in the process of making LEAVU 2.0 an automated install. (Which would certainly take the hassle out of copying individual files).
Heks-Hunter Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 This development is so amazing! Thanks to Yoda and devs! Waiting for it so long to get "realism" into my Cockpit (Hardware)! Looking forward to the Update (with installer).
Maximus Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Yoda, on the ERI mod. I am curious what does the "Steps" do? I can see that it is assigned to the numpad 0 Thanks Maximus, The only real Maximus in DCS World. :music_whistling: I am not associated to viper 33 | Maximus. he is the imposter.

ScEBlack1 Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 How do you press "step" ? with the lock button?

wed Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 (edited) I tryed to use leavu. On the Desktop(with FC2.0 installed) almost everthing is ok. But on the notebook MFD does not work. its only render the frame without any data inside. PS ADI work on both configs MFD only on desktop HUD renders nothing on both configs. winxp pro x32 on both computers Edited April 18, 2010 by wed
104th_Crunch Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 How do you press "step" ? with the lock button? There are 3 keys to use currently in LEAVU. They are listed starting at line 172 in ERI_radar.lua -- Our keyboard settings keys = {}; keys["step"]=0x60; -- num0 keys["lbst"]=0x61; -- num1 keys["masterArm"]=0x62; -- num2

GGTharos Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 dll copied in win\system32 Ok that is good. what is VC2010 redistributable? I installed lastest version of java 6.20 Look here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/results.aspx?pocId=&freetext=Microsoft%20Visual%20C%2b%2b%202010%20Redistributable%20&DisplayLang=en :) i have intel gma500 chipset and mauby problem with driver? This is a possibility ... I don't know if that has any real support for OGL or if it will use acceleration for LEAVU. GGTharos Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Please open command prompt and run: java -jar leavu.jar From where you have installed LEAVU, and post the error you get here. igorry Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Hi I am getting the same problem as wed except that I am able to get MFD working in my laptop but not the MFD in the monitors attached to my desktop where the FC2 is installed. I get a blank MFD frame in the attached monitors. I have checked the Leavu in my desktop is connected to the sim.
