LordOrion Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 Fuzing options have been here for some time now but honestly speaking I still haven't figured out how to use them properly, mainly because I haven't found any document that clearly explain the differences between various fuzes and how/when use them, especially for cluster bombs. Is there any good guide/tutorial which can help me? Thank you and merry Xmas! RDF 3rd Fighter Squadron - "Black Knights": "Ar Cavajere Nero nun je devi cacà er cazzo!" NytHawk Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 Don't think there is any DCS guide showing what every individual fuze does, however you can definitely google them if you can be bothered. Typically i just use the default fuzing because for 99% of engagements in DCS, it does the job. 2

Thank you and merry Xmas! there is no doc by DCS. i personally understand what they are supposed to do but have not created a doc. if you have a particular question, i can surely try to answer. 1 AKA_SilverDevil Join AKA Wardogs Email Address My YouTube “The MIGS came up, the MIGS were aggressive, we tangled, they lost.” - Robin Olds - An American fighter pilot. It all depends on the mission and the desired effect the pilot is trying to achieve. I can tell you common settings for MK82/MK84 M904/905 fuzes are usually 4 or 6 seconds for the arm delay, instant(0) for the function. Typically, the only bombs that will use function delays are your penetrating bombs (GBU-24A/B, GBU-31v3, and any other BLU-109 bomb body). They are usually equipped with a FMU-152 or more commonly the FMU-143. GBU-38s will typically be set to 14 seconds for the arm delay and instant(0) for the function and will either use the FMU-139 or 152, just depends on availability. GBU-12s and 10s typically get 139 fuzes are settings for the fuze vary depending on the mission task. 2 1 My PC: GPU-AMD 6800XT OC / CPU- AMD RYZEN 5800X OC / 32 GB RAM 3200Mhz / 1TB SSD / 2TB HDD / 500GB M.2 / Monitor: 34" Ultrawide Samsung 1000R Curve / WinWing F16EX HOTAS / TM Cougar MFDs / TM TPR Rudder Pedals / TrackIR5 / ICP
