dimanizer Posted January 6 Posted January 6 How does one intercept the 14.0d arc - or in other words, at which point am I supposed to start turning right? Thanks! 1
razo+r Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Depending on your speed, you turn about 2 or more miles before reaching the desired distance into the arc. And then of course if you see you turn too slow/fast, you can tighten/loosen the turn at any time.
dimanizer Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Does 14.0d mean 14 nm away from TACAN? So turn right 90 degrees once 14 nm away from the TACAN?

Yes that's right, but because of your speed you won't turn instantly, so start your turn around 16 miles and aim to roll out at 14 miles with the tacan to your left.
