Went to fly today and tried to go to F10 for map view, nothing. Went to F2 to get outside view and up came a volume control slider.

The Controls page still shows the "F" buttons bound as I would expect.

What's happened please?

Thanks in advance.

The function keys on one of my keyboards default to hotkeys (i.e., browser, media play/pause, vol controls, etc).  I have to hit a key combo to switch modes so they'll send F1-F12 keystrokes instead.  It sounds like something similar might be happening with your KB.

Almost certainly this. Many laptops these days set the "function" use of the F keys as default, requiring you to hold down the FN key as well as the F key t o get the F key result. (so dumb, but I digress).

I suspect if OP presses his FN button (usually lower left) and the appropriate F key, his views will return.

Most companies provide the ability to flip the functions though so you can use things normally, some use an app, and I know Lenovo has the change in the BIOS for some of their models.

ETA: while common, it's not limited to laptops, and I'm aware OP has not said he's on a laptop.

I'm not updating this anymore. It's safe to assume I have all the stuff, and the stuff for the stuff too. 🙂

Thanks, guys.

Sorted.

It seems I have a function lock key (by the F12 key) which had accidentally been pressed and turned off. As soon as turned back on, all is as it should be.

I also have a separate Fn key.

Thanks again.

Best rgds
