Hello,

just a funny impression: why in the DCS video “2025 and beyond” (1'14'') a Mirage F1 CR version (only French) and with French roundels is presented instead of a Mirage F1 M version (Spanish)... 😇

It seemed to me that this type of video was reserved for future new features (and not for AIs already developed).   Just a coincidence ?

link to video  > (1'14'')

I would also have liked ED to highlight the next F1M version a little more, but I hope we will have news later

It's an existing livery, though, for which Aerges was nice enough to include the chin-mounted camera (even if only visual and not functional).

I understand your argument and I had the same thought... 🙃

But all this is still awaiting a response: why put a French version of AI in this video and not an F1EE or even the F1M?

I wouldn't put too much thought into it.  Yes, the video highlighted future modules but it also showed a lot of existing modules.  The Mirage F1 falls into that latter category.

As for the F1M, the only thing worth seeing in a video would be the cockpit (since externally it looks very similar to the other versions) and that probably isn't ready for prime time yet.

Ok I’ll engage cynical mode for a bit:

Don't overanalyse what you see too much. It’s all just marketing B$ and PR designed to hype us up and create excitement for something we think DCS is going to be but what will actually never happen, with the goal of keeping us engaged and coming back.

Think of their slogans “thank you for your passion and support” and “thank you for making our dreams come true” and what that actually means.

ED is a company that will do what it does irregardless of what we want, as long as they can attract enough people who spend enough on modules to keep them in business.

They are not interested in making *our* dreams come true: instead they want us to make *their* dreams come true.

Latest Q&A by Wags emphasised them listening to their customers and implementing our desires. That is actually only true as a means to keep them in business. That is all they care about.

DCS will never be what we want it to be. But it can be partially, enough of what we want to keep us entertained.

”Don’t ask questions. Just consume product and then get excited about next product!”

Ok cynical mode off again.

There is still a lot in DCS to enjoy. Take it for what it is.

I would be interested in hearing how that is different from any other for profit company.

THIS IS THE BEST POST I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME !!

It is very PC and polite (which lately I have a hard time accomplishing when it comes to this 'sim') and is pretty much direct and to the point. Well spoken Raven !!

My only issue is the last sentence.. I do agree, but I'd like to add ... For how long ..
