Single thread.exe doesn't exist anymore. The .exe in the "normal" bin folder is multithread too and it's only there for legacy purposes. 2

For clarity, I would try bump render resolution in QuestLink to 1.3-1.5 and in quest debug tools up the encoding bitrate, force somewhere between 400-800 (will depend on your hardware). Think someone described this process above. I honestly haven't messed around too much with the link as I got better results with Virtual Desktop using AV1 encoder at 200mbps. Not sure what you mean by posting a link to one, but AV1 encoding is part of Virtual Desktop, along with HEVC, h264+ etc. I also have my headset connected via Ethernet instead of wireless to eliminate any issues with a wireless connection. I had occasional hiccups over wireless even on WiFi 6E, but plenty of folks here don't have issues (some have dedicated 6E routers). Ahhrrr, so AV Encoder isn't a box I need to buy, sweet (I really am new at the Q3). Thanks for the help, appreciate it. What FPS did you set in the Meta App? I'm also trying DLSS and after takeoff, I can consistently get 72fps in a Liberation mission. Tomorrow I'll try the Apache. Hi CybrSlydr, is the '720' you mention the encoding bitrate? That eliminated the stuttering with ASW enabled for me. 2.9 GB/s should be plenty. Hi Roosterfeet. Can you tell me where to find the GPU scheduling please? In the Meta software? DCS? Quadviews? OpenXR? I'm starting to get lost Cheers '52 i7-11700F 64GB RAM RTX3060 WIN 11 Pro HP Reverb G2 Meta Quest 3 TM Cougar & Logitech X56
warmachine79 Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I used G2, Q3 and now PCL and the Q3 is ahead of the G2; but if I had only a G2, I would not spend money to upgrade to Q3 as the difference is not sufficient to justify the additional money to spend on the Q3. I would save it and go for the PCL. The PCL is in another league when it comes to the overall picture quality. Plus, it is the most user friendly headset when it comes to setting it up as the Pimax Play software is easier to adjust than going through all the hassle with OTT and Virtual Desktop. However, if I had to buy a new headset without already having one, the Q3 is an option.

I found that intolerable and preferred the Q3. Also, is the sweet spot any bigger than on the original Crystal? Does it still feel like you’re wearing a medievel torture device?

Also, is the sweet spot any bigger than on the original Crystal? Does it still feel like you’re wearing a medievel torture device? It is extremely comfortable; I have both for Q3 and PCL third party comfort straps and the PCL is more comfortable; I can wear it for hours. Also with the factory strap - which is a catastrophe on Q3 - the PCL is more comfortable by far. I never tried the OG Crystal, but the PCL is also lighter as far as I know, because it has no battery pack. I do not have any chromatic abberation in DCS, but in AMS2, there are some infoboxes where the edges show slight chromatic abberation. The first pair of lenses I had for the PCL had an unachievable sweetspot, because if I had the sweetspot for left eye, the right eye was distorted and vice versa. I contacted PCL support and recevied a new pair of lenses. The sweetspot now is great on both the horizontal and the vertical plane, whereas you have to move the headset to a certain positiion in order get to the sweetspot on the vertical plane (for me, it is that I have to move it rather down). With the Q3, the sweetspot is bigger due to the pancake lenses. However, there is a sweetspot for the PCL and I think it is not a problem that it is smaller than the sweetspot of the Q3 once you have found the sweetspot.
AlessandroFuBu Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Hi, I have the same specs of you 4080s, 7800x3d 64gb ram and I own a Quest 3 and I like it very much with some compromises. You should Play a lot with all the settings and you will enjoy this headset. But if you are a oled guy (I am) you should check the new Meganex superlight 8K. It is expensive but not that much and from all the comments a review on youtube I think it will set new standards for VR. I will always keep the Quest 3 because it works great but I am thinking about getting an high end PCvr (quest 3 is not a pcvr).
