Viking 1-1 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) I know that Heatblur pays a lot of attention to detail. But what I saw today, really blew my mind: My motor for the seat adjustment overheated. You guys are really crazy. Thanks a lot for such a great module! TOViper Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Now we can start thinking of the reason for a seat heating ... hm. Zabuzard Posted February 21 Posted February 21 :D> The seat height mechanism may only be used for max 30s within 10min 8
Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted February 21 Posted February 21 For those who don’t understand German: it basically states “operate the seat height adjustment for maximum 30 sec every 10 minutes”. 2 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-curve extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON
Solution AndyJWest Posted February 21 Solution Posted February 21 So if you hold the switch down for longer than it takes to say 'SITZHOEHENVERSTELLMECH', the motor overheats. That should be easy to remember... 4 1
Zabuzard Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Yeah, it has some safety margin. We found some tests that hint at roughly 3min.With seat stuff they are usually super extra careful, as its your only chance of surviving in a really bad situation. So you definetly don't want your seat to catch fire or something. 1

And the funny thing is that it’s still an abbreviation: the full word is Sitzhöhenverstellungmechanismus Edited February 21 by Raven (Elysian Angel) 4 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-curve extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON
AndyJWest Posted February 21 Posted February 21 The abbreviation no doubt being used to avoid having to make the seat wider to fit the label. German efficiency at its best... 3

The true efficiency is the word itself: only one word needed in German whereas e.g. in English you need eight: “mechanism for the adjustment of the seat height“ Edited February 22 by SuperKermit 2
TOViper Posted February 22 Posted February 22 (edited) There must be some "Sitzhöhenverstellungmechanismusmotorstromversorgungsleitungsabsicherungsreparaturanweisungsblatt" somewhere....
