antiload Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I've been playing the JF17 tonight and the HUD is showing. I did an automatic cold start in SP 1
MAXsenna Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Am I the only one? Is this a known bug?Had an idea. Check if "sync HOTAS at mission start" is enabled in the General settings. If yes, disable it and try again to see if that fixes it. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

MAXsenna Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Will disabling this cause any problem for my HOTAS throttle?Nope. It sets the cockpit switches and controls in the cockpit as your physical ones. Which will now tell you if you have a conflict. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

MAXsenna Posted March 4 Posted March 4 I'm not in any training mission, I just do either single or multiplayer sessions.Yes, I know. But are you doing exactly as told in the training mission? You know what. Post a track of you doing a cold start. NOT autostart, and I'm sure someone will tell you what step you miss. Have you tried to remove all mods and done a full repair? A repair will not fix errors in Saved Games and remove mods from there. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

MAXsenna Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Ok I'm lost. I am doing exactly what I always do, sure. It is autostart that I do. I don't know how to cold start this thing yet. It's actually very easy and straightforward. Try the training mission, you might like it. I feel you though, what strange is that no one else have your issues it seems. Now, again. Do you have any mods? Did you try to remove them? Did you perform a repair?A really quick and dirty trick is to rename your DCS Saved Games folder. Start DCS, and try an autostart. If THAT fixes it. There is something wrong/corruption in the Saved Games. Like a mod that has a conflict of some sort. Along with a full slow repair, will bring back DCS to a full vanilla initial installation. Cheers! Falconeer Posted March 18 Posted March 18 (edited) Did you try turning on the HUD with it's rotary knob? You have to turn it on for it to show Edited March 18 by Falconeer 1 Planes: Choppers: Maps: Flaming Cliffs 3 Black Shark 2 Syria A-10C Tank killer 2 Black Shark 3 Persian Gulf F/A18C Hornet AH-64 Apache Mariana's F-16C Viper Afghanistan F-15E Strike Eagle Kola Peninsula Mirage 2000C AJS-37 Viggen JF-17 Thunder F-14 Tomcat F-4E Phantom
Napillo Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Yeah, if you have HUD brightness assigned to a knob, you have to turn that up to turn on the HUD. 1
