DRAGONs MISSIONPACK

Hi dragon,

 

I have tried "RookieTerrorists", it was fun! :D

however, I have not been able to finish the mission,

I always get shot in the middle of it. :(

 

I have already tried to fly low under 50m, and shoot from safe distance.

However, flying in the valley, sometimes do not give me space to shoot from safe distance,

when i find the target, it is already too close, they can fire back,

And the wingman is rather useless, he always get shot down.

 

So what should be the tactics here?

Please advise.

Hi a1adin,

 

At the 3rd bridge there is a MANPAD. Don't cross the 2nd Bridge before you killed it.

At the 4th bridge there is a beasty placed T-55. This guys don't use a laser so you won't get a warning.

You have to rise very high to see this guy. You have to be fast. See-Lock-Shoot-Kill or die. :)

Maybe move sideways if the T-55 is shooting.

yes, I have killed all the MANPAD, but I got killed twice by that damn T-55.

That T-55 is very good, it hits me the same exact moment that I notice it.

It hits me very fast before I can acquire it.

Too bad. :(

yes! finally I manage to hit the T-55,

but wait... there is more than one,

oops just get hit by the 2nd T-55. :(

I have moved sideways when acquiring,

but I guess I am not fast enough. :D

The mission "NightHawkHunter" is not made for jets.

It is a surprise mission. You will takeoff deep in a canyon and have to avoid every detection till you reach the enemy FARP.

At the FARP you first have to destroy the radio tower before they detect you and call for support.

Once you captured the FARP you have to destroy one of the three HAWK-sides to open a loophole of 150m over ground to engage the F-117 on the airport.

 

This is no mission for A-10s.

I don't remember which ones off hand but I get back to you on it.It most likely because of how old the pc is.

@ bigdog: Yes, I can imagine that some missions are eating a lot of performance.

But every mission was tested by =STP= on my server, if they are playable (performance).

For "Thunderstruck" the FPS was very low but it was "playable".

The clouds, the rain and the burning city are eating a lot of performance.

I'm having a hard time with mission one. Have been shot down 2 times in a row. I'm flying really low and follow the waypoints. But the SAMs shoot me down when I'm near the friendly artillery.

Your talking about the mission "Attack on Krymsk"?

 

Yes, there are Roland ADS on the airport "Krymsk". They are able to shoot you at about 7.5 Km - 8,0 Km.

You have to stay out of there range and switch to manual weapon mode to destroy this SAMs.

 

This is one of my easyest missions. Maybe you should try my Trainingpack first.

Download the Trainingpack and open the missions in multiplayer.

There you are able to choose a difficulty. Try MEDIUM of the "Standard Weapons" mission. ;)

Ok thanks. Strange thing is, I completed the official campaign with only 2 deaths (the first campaign), so I'm not sure why I'm having a hard time with your "easy" mission lol. :D
