alexbap Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) Hi! I'm working on a mission where a couple os Kamovs are attacking an advanced enemy camp. It is suposed to be a surprised attack and want to trigger a new set of actions as soon as camp is attacked or if the defenders detect the attackers. DCS has "Bomb in Zone" and "Missile in Zone" as trigger condition, that could be very usefull. But for whatever reason, guns or rockets in zone don't have their own "trigger." So I can't use weapons in zone as a trigger. I've set "Alarm state" of some defenders to Auto, so I suposed that as soon as they are attacked or attackers are detected, their alarm state would change to red. Can I use this change in alarm state as a trigger? If not, any one has a better suggestion to accomplish this? Thanks in advance. Nealius Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Yes. You can set the advanced waypoint action to green state, then in the triggered actions window set both red state and green state. Then in triggers you can set desired conditions with the action AI TASK PUSH either red state or green state.
OldDog72 Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I too would appreciate artillery rounds "In Zone" being able to serve as a Condition for activating a trigger. I've not seen the Alarm State qualifier... can you point me in the right direction?
Wrecking Crew Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Try a more general 'Part Of Coalition In Zone', and make another zone for that test that is a bigger radius to cover your attacker. You can add that as an Or Condition or make another Event. Iirc, the weps in zone conditions can be specific to a particular weapon. I prefer the broader detection of a plane / coalition. rob10 Posted April 3 Posted April 3 And one watchout to WEAPON IN ZONE is that you can't make them too small or you'll get very inconsistent results. The game only checks roughly once per second so if timing works out that it enters the zone just after a check and manages to exit it (or blow up and no longer exists) BEFORE the next check it will never fire.
