vCheckmates Posted March 20 Posted March 20 (edited) I have a similar issue. Freezes and stutters in the main menu. I think I've narrowed it down to the Saved Games/DCS/Config/Input folder. but I lose my keybinds. It seems I can minimize the stuttering and freezing with keyboard inputs. Looking at other similar reports it looks like the common thread might be WinWing MIP and multiple displays.

Otherwise I wouldn't have told you 2025-03-20 12:02:25.412 WARNING EDCORE (Main): CPU HAS PARKED LOGICAL CORES (this can be source of stuttering and reduced performance especially on hybrid CPUs with P/E-cores) In addition - this CPU is NOT fully supported on Windows 10. You need to disable all your E-cores on Windows 10. You should better update to Windows 11.

Tengah Posted March 22 Posted March 22 (edited) I am also having freezing issues with the latest patch. I have a decent build, not great compared to many here, but it is a new purchase and DCS wasa positively "flying" (pun intended) until today (21st March 2025) when I ran the DCS update: Intel i9 12900KF • RTX 4060 • 32GB 3200Mhz • 1TB NVMe • MSI 240mm Liquid Cooler • MSI M100R Mesh White • WiFi • Windows 11 I am using a Samsung Wide Screen Monitor, 32inch at 2560x1080 screen rez. I have tried removing ALL mods (I only use the CH Mods, and a few of Admirals Ships) to no avail, DCS continues to freeze. If I alt tab to desktop then back to DCS it will run fine for a minute or so then freezes again. Edit: I am using Lasso, and have tried with and without. DCS MT and normal DCS, to no avail. Saegio Glug Bendix Posted March 22 Posted March 22 (edited) same problem here. Game just freezes, and comes back like 1-2 min later. And it keeps repeating. I noticed it affects even other applications on the PC which stop working while this happens. nullnull dcs.log dcs.log.old Edited March 22 by Saegio Glug Bendix
rob10 Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Start by removing your mods (especially the aircraft ones). There are currently a number of mods causing issues including some of the VSN mods. 1

It also looks like you have a few USB unplug issues in the logs: INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [SWD] HPB7948F (HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 series) INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [SWD] HPB7948F (HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 series) These can cause stutters and pausing. Check that you have disabled Hotplugging in your DCS controls config, big button at the bottom right of that screen. Could also be power management issues, try unplugging the printer (and using powered hubs for your devices), and disable Power Management in your Windows device manager for the USB controllers. You also have Process Lasso running which can cause issues depending on how it's used. Have you tried without that? Tengah Posted March 27 Posted March 27 (edited) Hello, Apologies for the late response to those asking me to attach my DCS Logs. Please see attached. My PC Spec: Intel i9 12900KF • RTX 4060 • 32GB 3200Mhz • 1TB NVMe • MSI 240mm Liquid Cooler • MSI M100R Mesh White • WiFi • Windows 11 I am using a Samsung Wide Screen Monitor, 32inch at 2560x1080 screen rez. The mission being used to sort this issue is a very straightforward A-B sortie via 14 steer points using the ED F-16CM. Other than the ED modules, no mods are installed, and no Process Lasso is running. I have tried an instant action free flight mission, and this issue is constant there. Unfortunately, even after the latest "Hot Fix" for the last patch, the freezing and stuttering problem persists. Not being the most tech-savvy of people, I am at my wit's end and at the mercy of you IT Gods. Any help/advice would be gratefully received. dcs.log Edited March 27 by Tengah
Tengah Posted March 27 Posted March 27 (edited) Following my last post... I have discovered my issue. PARKED CORES. Being something of an IT ignoramus, I opted to download Bitsum's ParkControl, no idea what I was doing but went of logic and common sense. Turned off the Core Parking, and all is running as smooth as smooth can be. Many thanks to all of you who have posted here. I am very grateful to all, and my apologies if I have wasted anyone's time.
