Aapje Posted March 24 Posted March 24 That's obviously jargon. Corporate "around the end of March" means 'April 31st' in normal language.

You're somewhat less cynical than me. It means "We don't have a clue beyond we're lying through our teeth and it'll be at least another quarter of a year, but screw you mugs we already got your money and did we already mention screw you".

Panzerlang Posted April 1 Author Posted April 1 Suddenly I'm able to log in to my account. Where it says: "Pimax-Crystal-Super-HMD 50PPD QLED, 135FOV (Scheduled to ship in March 2025)" I ordered it 20th December, 2024. Where might that put me for delivery in 2025?

Depends on when you reserved, not when you pre-ordered. Sim Rig: Intel 12700KF, MSI RTX4090, 32GB DDR4@3200, Quest 3 headset, TM Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswind pedals

Aapje Posted April 3 Posted April 3 I think that pre-ordering gives you the opportunity to actually order/reserve early, but the pre-order is not the actual order.
TimberWolf Posted April 3 Posted April 3 7 hours ago, Panzerlang said: What's the difference? When the Super was first announced, Pimax had a reservation system set up, where people can reserve a spot among the first orders. I know that the people that reserved last April have already received an email asking for shipping address confirmation, and that they will be the ones receiving the first shipments starting April 7. I reserved a spot in late July, so I'm not expecting a ship date for another month or two. If you haven't reserved a spot, then you are at the very back of the line, and you shouldn't expect a Super any time soon. This is different from the pre-orders, which opened last November, IIRC. That calculation involves an assumption about how many they're able to produce in a given period of time though.
TimberWolf Posted April 3 Posted April 3 1 hour ago, Panzerlang said: That calculation involves an assumption about how many they're able to produce in a given period of time though. Obviously. Not to mention that some of the pre-orders would be for the oled display, or the 57ppd lenses, or that some of the reservations didn't continue to actual pre-orders. But if I get mine sooner than I expect, then that will be a very pleasant surprise. I find that if I set my expectations low, then I am less often disappointed. Panzerlang Posted April 3 Author Posted April 3 I'll give them another couple of weeks and if I've heard nothing I'll cancel.
TimberWolf Posted April 4 Posted April 4 If you're that impatient, then you might as well cancel now. If you really wanted this, you should have put in a reservation when you had the chance. Sim Rig: Intel 12700KF, MSI RTX4090, 32GB DDR4@3200, Quest 3 headset, TM Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswind pedals

Not sure a third of a year could be considered "impatient" anyway. Edited April 4 by Panzerlang
Dodge Posted April 5 Posted April 5 There are Pimax videos out there with some updates. Check their YouTube https://www.youtube.com/PimaxVR I think my reservation was last June. I'm told I'll be shipped at probably the 2nd batch (so not long after the 1st batch (7th + April). I may even get into the first week of April (so this week if I'm lucky). Otherwise, I'll anticipate within the next 2-3 weeks (and I'm away for some of April) 1 Regards, Paul "Dodge / LondonLad / ChemoBrain" SYSTEM SPECS: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x , 64GB 3600MHz RAM, ASUS ROG Strix X570-F Gaming, NVIDIA RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB GDDR6, IIYAMA 34" Curved GB3466WQSU Monitor, VPC WarBRD-D Base, VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Grip, VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle, VPC Control Panel #2, VPC ACE Interceptor Pedals, TM MFD w/CUBESIM (x2), PointCTRL, HP Reverb G2 VR Headset | Back up: NVIDIA RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6, Thrustmaster HOTAS Throttle, VKB Pedals (v4), Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset, & TrackIR Group: DCAF (Now Left, but a great group to be apart of - UK Based)
