Task 1 - No response when calling ground crew to eject for takeoff

I taxi to carrier ejection position #3 as instructed by the ground crew after completing a cold start, but after hooking up the tow bar and saluting (SHIFT+U) there is no response from the ground crew, so I can't eject from the carrier for takeoff. What should I do to solve this problem?

Turn your exterior lights on when hooked up to the catapult, that is the launch signal at night.

Set the switches on your right console to on prior to taxiing to the catapult (I always switch everything on, bright, flash), but keep exterior lights off via the master lights toggle switch until you are hooked up and ready to go. Once you are ready to launch, use the master toggle to turn lights on. That should initiate the launch sequence.

Thank you, the problem was solved when I turned on the lights. I mistakenly took the night ejection signal as a salute...

Or jsut use the salute command, not the radio menu item

Thanks, everything got fixed when I switched lights, maybe I should have read the manual more!
