cfrag Posted Sunday at 10:33 AM Posted Sunday at 10:33 AM (edited) OPEN STRESS TEST CLOSED - MISSION IS AVAILABLE AS DOWNLOAD After three INTENSE days (well, nights, actually) of work (don't you love Easter!) I've brought "Angels Caucasus" to Germany. I'm now putting the final touches on "Angels Over Germany", and I want you to help stress-test the mission before I release it to the community. So if you can fly a helicopter, own the new Germany map, and feel like you are up to the challenge of rescuing hordes of medical evacuees in Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt, head over to "cfrag's Flight Line" (no password, a Fox3 server, 40 players max) and help save the cold world. My plan is to release "Angels over Germany" in the next few days, and I appreciate your help stress-testing the mission. And yes, this map integrates with the other Angels maps, so if you have a history of rescuing people there, your past achievements are shown. Please add all feedback to this thread. Known issues - extremely ugly z-fighting on Finkenwerder ground objects. This is a map bug. Edited Monday at 03:37 PM by cfrag 2 3
Nate--IRL-- Posted Sunday at 12:10 PM Posted Sunday at 12:10 PM (edited) Cool Mission - Flying around Belin at low level is great (ate all my RAM though - 64gb )! Nate Edited Sunday at 12:11 PM by Nate--IRL-- Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Porkbrain Posted Sunday at 04:00 PM Posted Sunday at 04:00 PM Had fun in all 3 regions & 'enjoyed' landing in really tight spaces where you really don't want to land. Used Huey, Gazelle & Hip, the only issues were on first flying a machine the FPS bounced low & high for the first minute or so, especially in Berlin, then back to normal, and switching slot from the Gazelle to Huey the VRAM used was around 13GB for a minute or so then dropped to the normal 5GB used for a Huey, so probably just the norm for a busy map? It's a great way to do some sightseeing on a really excellent new map, so thanks for creating this so quickly.
Porkbrain Posted Sunday at 07:43 PM Posted Sunday at 07:43 PM Had another session with Huey & Gazelle in both HH & FR, all went smoothly with good FPS over many rescues. Tried the medium fog setting which was fine with no FPS impact but turned it off as sightseeing was more fun. A minor thing was twice when en route to a *critical* I passed near another pilot who popped smoke and called 'you are close', both times I used the F1 option to see how far it was to the critical pilot but each time that the list of outstanding csar details was displayed it immediately disappeared and was replaced by the just 'you are close' message. Selecting the F1 option a second time brought up the list of all current csar's again which then remained on screen as per usual.

PHMAC Posted Monday at 05:09 PM Posted Monday at 05:09 PM Thanks for creating the Angels mission so quickly for the Germany map. I enjoy your missions a lot! I hope we will some day also see your other creations (lawnmower, CESAR, Hover damn, Helo haul etc) make an appearance for the Germany map. They are my goto missions for some quick helicopter training. 2
