I seem to remember that cold war tactics were for very low level use of A10'sĀ  . The last time I read about this must have been when SimHq was the preeminent sim site over 15 years ago.Ā  Ā Is there anywhere with detail on tactics and docrine around for us to draw info for our new German missions?

Probably got to Google it, but I'm sure the threat of the ZSU-23-4 is a high priority target, along with the requisite tanks.Ā  I mean that was the biggest thing that the A-10 had to deal with, along with other SAMs and MANPADS just off the top of my head:

Ā  Ā which is quite usefulĀ  Ā .Ā  Ā There was a A10 ex pilot who wrote a whole bunch or articles on cold war tactics on simhq. But the links are all dead šŸ˜žĀ  That used to be such a great website..

Yeah it used to be bustling, but now it's like the "latest" news is 2017. I still post on the Arma portion because I still play the game after all of these years, but overall it's essentially dead.

You probably meant a former A-10 pilot named Andy Bush.

Yes, I have been reading his articles for a long time, there were also drafts of angles for attacking the GAU-8 cannon on T-55/T-62 tanks, it would be good if someone could provide information about this man who served in Germany for years and was one of the main people who devised the tactics of the A-10 attack on the Soviet armor invasion of Europe. He was also involved during the original LOMAC in 2003 and was one of the key people for the A-10's features and mission in Lock On.

Can we find his writings anywhere?Ā

I've seen them on the internet, I'll try to find everything I can, and I'll post them here, if someone does it before me, I'll also post them here permanently so we can preserve them from oblivion.

Maybe someone will find this information interesting to read, here is Tango Six's data on the actions of the Yugoslav air defense against A-10 aircraft during the war in Kosovo in 1999, the data is partly copied from the book A-10 over Kosovo, Google Translate can help with reading...
