So i have both mosquito and the spitfire, and when i use atc to request taxi etc... they never respond to me, I tried changing to channels b, c, and d and i still get nothing.

second, a bit off topic but i downloaded the ww2 british radio voices, placed them in the sounds directory of my game, and it still uses the default american voices

Since you cannot change the frequency for that radio inflight, you have to preset the correct frequencies in the mission editor BEFORE you are flying the mission. And then you only have to use the dedicated radio PTT button and it should work.

ok just tried that, still nothing, even have easy coms switched off

i go into the mission planner or mission editor. Select the airfield, it gives you a list of tower frequencies. I put the 2nd frequency in my B slot for my plane. Then when in the plane, select radio B and I don't get a response still

The second frequency listed? Isn't that the HF frequency? Because the radio is VHF, so you put in the wrong frequency. It's frequency range is between 100MHz and 156MHz. So it should be the first frequency listed that you have to put in.

oh, that may actually be it. I will try again and see if it works.

Edit - Nope, tried it with the first tower frequency too, still nothing

ok, i think it may have been just that one mission, i tried another one and it seems to work now. I was trying to do it on one of the default mossie missions you get with the pack the "operation crossbow" mission where you have to mess around with the transmitter and receiver in the back

I thought for a minute you couldn’t ’run the starter’ and maybe hadn’t opened the window but no, sounds like something to do with your mission?

I tried the English voices too but never got them working.

Enjoy the Mossie, great module 🙂

i assume you cant edit the preset missions you get with the mossie as it seems to work with user made ones, and no, The british voice pack just doesnt seem to work even though i overwrote all the vanilla ones, they somehow still come through with the default american voices

You should be able to, except campaign missions I think.

I don't know their exact location but I think you should be able to navigate with the mission editor browser into DCS/mods/aircraft/Mosquito and you should be able to find them somewhere in there if I'm not mistaken.

@Alphagamer1981 The simple answer for your radio issue is that the missions contained within DCS try to reflect actual war time communications, in that ground controllers issue instructions and flares clear you for takeoff and landing. To mimic this scenario the ATC is switched off and no requests via comms are required. I hope this helps.
