Hi,

I wonder why there are so few JF17 into the PVP servers.

It is a well polished fighter, it is a very good alternative as an opponant for the blue side.

-Good A2A missiles

- Very good and modern A2G weapons

- friendly interface

- easy to flight

-surprisingly agile

I wonder why there is so few....The look? because it is named "low cost"? Because it is has only one single Mig29 reactor? why?

I think it's because most people are drawn to what they recognize, for instance from movies, history books, airshows, maybe their country's air force operates it (or used to operate it)

You can either go a2a, or you can go a2g. You can't do both, which means most people will choose multirole fighters. On servers without active radar missiles jf 17 loses most of its a2a capabilities.

^ This. And for me its the reduced payload compared to western fighters. If you could (just as when it just came out) strap a BRM90 pod to an inner pylon then the Jeff would already be much more appealing

This. I never got interested in it much because to me the JF-17 was (and to be honest, still is) somewhat obscure.

that it is, and that's what drew me to it, but really the JF-17 appeals IRL to people who can't get the F-16 due to either the high pricetag or the fact that it isn't going to ever be sold to them. When you have DCS, you could buy the F-16 for the same price as the JF-17, so why wouldn't you just get the other one?
