It would be nice if there were a menu to open that would show all jets parked on the carrier. Right now, if you place multiple jets on the carrier in the mission editor, they are on top of each other, and it is hard to select a specific one.

No arguments here. In the meantime, though, you can at least cycle through them with successive mouse clicks (if you didn't already know that).

There is also an object list through one of the left hand side buttons menu that you can filter units for selection without having to click the icons on the map.

Yeah, the thing of controllable aircraft on top of each other on the carrier is a pain. If you get used to using the list, the issue might get less noticeable while the ME doesn't get an overhaul.

I have noticed that since the addition of deck handlers, you have to be real careful as to where you place static aircraft on the deck. They will try and park you where a static plane or helicopter is parked even though there are plenty of other parking spaces. In short, I have had to depopulate older missions I created to keep things from fouling up the handlers parking you. `

Indeed....a real shame.  

There are many of us who've spent countless hours bringing carrier decks to life for our missions with statics.  All those missions are now rendered "busted" by the new deck crew.  Yes, we can turn it off, but I very much want the deck crew experience.

My "hack" compromise suggestion for ED.  Allow deck crew and player jets to clip through deck assets when using deck crew direction.  I just don't see ED "fixing" this condition by building smarter more aware deck crew.

Yeah, I have just given in and depopulated the deck before I fly the mission and save it as update. Painful to have to do that but it's not the first time I have had to make changes to missions because of an update. Part of life in DCS!

Indeed.  There are a couple spots in the Junkyard where you can place some assets that won't interfere with the Deck Crew's AI.  Trial and error, but at least its not completely lifeless.  Also, you can coordinate AI departures and arrivals so there's movement and assets adhering to Deck Crew direction.  Its a crap shoot given how brittle DCS is from patch to patch, but I honestly can't stand a sterile deck.
