DJOGOO77 Posted Sunday at 04:47 PM Posted Sunday at 04:47 PM Voice Chat - TACTICAL RULE The proposal or suggestion we are making is to add, following the FC4 model, the radio to the roles of: Tactical Command | Game Master | JTAC. This would allow for rapid and efficient interaction with aerial assets without the need for external programs (SRS). Ideally, there should be three radios available to communicate across all frequency bands (AM-FM/VHF/UHF). The radio frequency, as in FC4, is directly entered within the panel. Additionally, it would be useful to add these three roles to the Voice Chat Radio Option to allow for the addition of optional radios when necessary. - TACTICAL ON F10 MAP Regarding the simulation of transmission and reception affected by distance, topography, temperature, and humidity, when operating as a tactical role in F10, units or structures can be enabled as command or repeaters to ensure signal coverage (thus giving a role to certain units that are currently more decorative than functional). Vehicles that could act as repeaters with specific distances and defined power are: BLUE SIDE: LUV HMMWV Jeep, Patriot C2 or CR RED SIDE: LUV Tigr, SKP-11 Mobile ATC Additionally, AWACS, airports, or other strategic aerial assets could be enabled. A simpler alternative for immediate implementation is to provide total coverage on the map. - TACTICAL IN FIRST PERSON IN THE VEHICLE When using ground assets in first person, everything is calculated from that unit, using the standard radio values. For simplicity, they can be reduced to the main types used by NATO and the USSR: BLUE SIDE: AN/PRC-148, AN/PRC-152 RED SIDE: R-187 "Azart", R-123 "Magnolia" This addition would not only enhance communication and realism but also encourage more players to engage with Combined Arms in missions or campaigns. Thank you for considering this suggestion. 8 2
Spooky_555 Posted Sunday at 04:51 PM Posted Sunday at 04:51 PM great idea! in fact at the moment there is no possibility to manage radio communications as "game master" or "tactician". it would be important to integrate this functionality on voice chat. it would also be very nice to have command centers or ewr usable as game master, giving the possibility to enter them as if it were Lotatc 6 1
Niner Posted Sunday at 04:58 PM Posted Sunday at 04:58 PM I think this implementation will be outstanding, as it will provide the opportunity to communicate directly with human JTAC/AWACS, making the experience of reading the "9-lines" much more engaging and realistic. Moreover, enhancing communication management through Voice Chat will make operations smoother and more immersive, facilitating coordination between the various tactical roles. Communicating with agencies will significantly increase the level of immersion, bringing the simulation closer to real-world scenarios. I really like this proposal, and I hope to see it implemented soon! 4 1

- Sonic - Posted Monday at 08:42 AM Posted Monday at 08:42 AM Absolutely in favor. This is a solid and well-thought-out proposal that would bring real improvements to gameplay, especially in terms of communication efficiency and realism. Adding integrated radios to Tactical Command, Game Master, and JTAC roles—following the FC4 model—is a smart move. It eliminates the need for external tools like SRS and streamlines coordination with air assets. Including three configurable radios covering AM/FM/VHF/UHF is a practical and flexible solution. Extending functionality to the F10 map, with command units or repeaters to simulate signal coverage, is a great way to give currently underused vehicles a meaningful role. The fallback option of full map coverage for simplicity makes sense for initial implementation. The suggestion to link radio behavior in first-person vehicle use to realistic NATO and USSR radio types is a nice touch, adding immersion without overcomplicating things. Overall, this would make Combined Arms more appealing and functional. Fully support the idea—hope to see it implemented soon. 1 1
Scoofer Posted Monday at 10:26 AM Posted Monday at 10:26 AM I fully approve of the suggestion; it would be a true breakthrough toward immersive and realistic communication. I’d add that, besides ground vehicles, given the direction DCS is taking with the C-130J (especially the KC-Tanker version when it’s released), why not consider AWACS modules? This would allow those who enjoy flying "airliners" to be part of operational scenarios with much more interaction than a simple commercial flight. Additionally, in a multycrew setup, having an onboard interface would provide aerial coverage for all fellow players. We'll see... 1 1
