Thomas_GER Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Hi all, when I setup CW Germany in a time period for example in 1985 I see that the GPS of the KA50s does not work anymore….but not so for the Apache. Shouldn‘t the GPS as well as the FCR be inoperative in this time period?
Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Alignment after startup takes significantly longer when the mission date is set at a pre-GPS year, that would indicate it is not active Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-curve extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON
Ignition Posted May 20 Posted May 20 (edited) I didn't test it in this version, but the last time I checked the GPS was not present, the INS did align and you could clearly see it wasn't coupled to the GPS since the FPM was jumping and the altitude wasn't precise. I hope ED can simulate the INS drift and INS fix in this aircraft. Edited May 20 by Ignition
Thomas_GER Posted May 21 Author Posted May 21 Ah ok - but that means that the moving map works without the GPS. I assumed that also the moving map should not work
Solution flanker0ne Posted May 21 Solution Posted May 21 If you see PSN in the lower left corner during alignment (and even after), it is the system prompt to allow you to fill the initial position (the parking spot) necessary for the alignment of the INS SCOPRI DI PIU': https://www.amvi.it/joinus.php DISCORD COMBINEDOPS The Battle Planning Tool
