Mach 2?

Hi,

Clean configuration, level flight, A35, A40, A45, A45= impossible.

Deep dive from A50= Mach 1.8 but this is not level flight.

Are you able to reach Mach 2?

I've reached Mach 2 in June of 2024.

ok, you can, thx for your photo, but me in 2025 i can not. I tried and impossible to reach mach 2...

Perhaps other people have the same issue?

Second try early this morning, straight level fligh, clean configuration, A40 full burners = impossible to reach Mach 2.

Please could someone tell me if you have the same "problem"?

ps: In the Mirage F1 no problem at all to reach Mach with the same parameters.

What's the mission you're attempting this Mach 2 run in? The weather/atmospheric conditions do play a part in the maximum speed that you can achieve.

I'm able to achieve Mach 2+ in level flight at 38000ft with a standard day.

Yep i forgot to mention that my attempt condition was a standart day as you, without any wind and turbulences/ gusts.

Hi Zab, i forgot to remove the pilons 1&9. My bad....this was enought to stop the reach to mach2. Now i can reach Mach 2, A45, 1195kts

I’ve gotten ‘er up to 1.8 with the pylons in a dive to 25k ft. She’ll probably do 2.0, but I backed off after seeing the intake duct temp light come on.
