The four-bladed propeller was found on the F4U-4, which was introduced in late WWII. There were quite a number of differences between the -1D and the -4, including a fully redesigned cockpit, so developing that for DCS would probably take quite a while. 
 

I do really love the four-bladed prop Corsairs!

Programming maybe, but considering the -4 has a floorboard and boxy panels, I personally think it wouldn't take as long from the art side.
