Using Quest 3 and Virtual Desktop to connect to the PC and DCS. I've noticed that when I load a mission, I don't get any progress bar for the load screen and it seem to take much longer to load than 2D. Is this normal?

I have an NVidia RTX 3060, a Core i9-129000K processor and 128GB of RAM. Latency in game seems to average about 70ms just sitting in the cockpit. The Quest 3 is connected to a dedicated router at a solid 2400 megabits per second. Are there settings that I can change to improve the latency?

Yes, that's normal in VR.

No idea since I never use 2D other than to make/edit missions.

Yes, use a cable 😆
But in all seriousness, no idea since I avoid all things wireless as much as practically possible.

First... how is this still a thing?(ED)

The thing that would work for me to speed things up is to use your Quest controller to switch back to you monitor, then open task manager, select details, find the DCS executable, then right click it, select end task, then cancel, then switch back to VR. 99.9% of the time whatever mission I was loading (and waiting) would immediately start me in the cockpit.

You might even want to have the task mgr pulled up already anytime you sit down to fly.

Is that something you can do with Virtual Desktop, or are you using the direct link? I'd love to know how to do that in Virtual Desktop (if it's even possible.)

In Virtual Desktop double-clicking the menu button on your hand controller will switch you between viewing your PC desktop (or currently open application) and being in VR (and back again). You just need to make sure that DCS is the open window before double-clicking back to VR on the controller again otherwise you get the Window Out Of Focus message.

why not use a link cable? im rock steady at 13.9 to 14 latency. anything wireless is gonna introduce latency/lag

What link cable are you using?
