Danzig Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Does anyone have a good recomendation hwo to taxi to park position and back to the take off point? experimented with tail wheel locked and drivting . But if you cant take the plane completely arround you can get stuck on that tiny deck pretty easily 1
GUCCI Posted June 27 Posted June 27 (edited) The taxi behavior compared to other warbirds in sim is definitely bizarre- especially in regards to the tail-wheel and wheel brakes. I have trouble turning on one wheel (L or R toe brake held down) and the plane doesn't want to pivot around the axis even with tailwheel unlocked. every other tail dragger doesn't have this problem. U need to move forward and hit the L/R brake in the intended direction which can be a pain when space is limited. I can taxi a P51 and P47 with ease, they behave as you'd expect. Hopefully the ground handling can be looked over, especially the brakes. They seem to just lock up and make a tire skid and screech even at slow speeds, so when u try to hold either side L/R, it wants to skid/drag forward instead of pivoting upon the axis. Mistermann Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Try using that big rudder and prop to get the plane rotating in a tight circle. See if that works for you. 1 System Specs: Spoiler Callsign:Kandy Processor:13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K - RAM: 64GB - Video Card: NVIDIA RTX 4090 - Display: Pimax 8kx VR Headset - Accessories: VKB Gunfighter III MCG Ultimate, VKB STECS Standard, Thrustmaster TPR Pedals, Simshaker JetPad, Predator HOTAS Mounts, 3D Printed Flight Button Box Video Capture Software: Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), Video Editing Software: PowerDirector 35 Into The Jungle (MP Mission) F18: Scorpion's Sting Apache Campaign - Griffins Kiowa Campaign - Assassins
Firebugs Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Yeah it seems kinda like both brakes engage partially when you hit L or R. It arrests movement. Hopefully will be revised soon. 2

fargo007 Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Feathering the prop rpm down gives me a lot more positive control. 2 Have fun. Don't suck. Kill bad guys. https://discord.gg/blacksharkden/
Thundersmoke Posted Thursday at 01:16 AM Posted Thursday at 01:16 AM If your carrier is moving at a good speed, you can drop full flaps and get blown backwards on the deck. Might help to make the plane lighter if it’s not doing it. 1
VFA41_Hedgehog Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM Taxi behavior is still bugged. Any wind over 7 knots will prevent you from turning away from it. The weather vaning effect is exaggerated. This was reported several patches ago but Mag3 seems uninterested in fixing it. You will be unable to turn 180 degrees on a moving carrier deck until it is fixed. 1 VFA-41 Black Aces www.vfa-41.com
