Fact is that development of the CH-47 is going very slow.

My suspicion simply is that the chinook did not sell es expected and now they are kind of abandoned it.

When the real bad EA of the Viper happend, they said they learned from it and would never again launch a module in this early state they did with the Viper. But for me, the Chinook launch was even worse! And now almost no updates in a year, but Afghanistan, Iraq, Mig 29, F 15C, F 35...

Clearly the focus has drifted to quantity instead of quality, which is a shame...

I bought a lot modules over the years and I always wanted to support ED, but recently I just don't think that's a good idea since I don't see that they are really taking care of their stuff.

Maybe we are lucky now that the Viper came out of EA, but I hardly think so. So the Chinook together with Afghanistan were my last EA purchase from ED as long as I don't see any notable progress on the chinook.

Before you call everything a "bug": RTFM & try again! Thank you. :music_whistling:

I honestly don’t believe they have anyone actively working on it. I think they tinker with it from time to time.

Yes, that could be true

But to be fair, after spending a couple of hours again in the hook: The flight model has improved a lot since launch. At least in my opinion.

I didn't think I'd like it so much but it's a really fun module to use in MP, doing logistics runs and dropping off capture squads. Hope it gets some more attention and some advanced training missions.

Some very valid points in this thread - and i do hope ED are reading them and noting the communities comments.   Taking the comments that it might be coming across that interest from ED has waned due to whatever reason - probably sales..   Those who did invest in the Early release should reap some benefits and worthwhile updates...

Where there are lots of features on the roadmap.. Perhaps just a bit more focus on what is REALLY needed now to make it a real contender.   Not the bells and whistles just the things to make it usable and enjoyable.   I'll kick off with an easy one..  Jump in and expand the list if you so wish.  No idea if this will have any impact on ED's future approach to updates!!

  • CDU - If nothing else, get it back to the state where black screens did not appear - Make it usable again
