GGTharos Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Did you get the correct patch? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
pvtkramer Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Takira has asked about this at SimHQ, also. he did not include the info here that he has Black Shark installed to e:\games\Ka-50 instead of the default location. could this be the reason the patch won't install?
GGTharos Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Interesting - that might well be ... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

Takira Posted August 11, 2009 Author Posted August 11, 2009 Yes, my game is installed at e:\games\Ka-50 And I have the english DVD and downloaded the english patch, but says Black Shark not found! I don't wanna lose another activation because of this! Anybody any ideas (without a re-install, my install is fresh. Thanks in advance. Best regards.
GGTharos Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Try a full reinstall. Just uninstall, delete the folder, and reinstall. You won't lose an activation, so don't bother deactivating. You can install on the same machine on the same activation as many times as you like. Nate--IRL-- Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I had this problem too, i renamed my current BS folder to BStemp, reinstalled to the old folder, then deleted it and renamed the BStemp back to BS. Patch could now see BS. I suspect it was some registry keys missing, that the re-install fixed. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading

Atlas Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Hi I'm new to this forum and I'm getting the same error message. I downloaded DCS: Black Shark electronically through Steam and it's in a fixed folder in my steam applications. Is there any way to patch my DCS? or will I have to wait for someone to have a patch available for Steam users? All answers are appreciated. Rookie Pilot -Atlas
slug88 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Atlas, the Steam version already includes the latest patch. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
PoleCat Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 (edited) Steams patches would likely be different from the download or the releases on disk. Availalble only through Steam. This is ususally the case. Steam specific patches for Steam game AFAIK. I believe the Steam version is patched to latest already. Out Edited July 14, 2010 by PoleCat http://www.104thphoenix.com/
