P3CFE Posted Monday at 01:03 PM Posted Monday at 01:03 PM (edited) When the gearhandle is selected to the down position, the red light in the handle should come on immidiately. In DCS It takes a few seconds before the light comes on after the handel is selected Down (this is not Correct). The handle light should come on immidiate and anytime the gearhandle is not in the same position that the gear itself is in. So: - When the landing gear is UP and locked AND the handle is NOT in the Up position...The Handle light should be ON. - When the landing gear is DOWN and locked AND the handle is NOT in the DOWN position...The Handle light should be ON. - When the landing gear is in an intermidiate position between down and locked and Up and locked, like during travel .The Handle light should be ON until the gear has reached the same position as the Gearhandel. Only the Gear down selection gives an incorrect (Late) Light activation in DCS. I have reported this a loooooong time ago, should be easy to fix i thought. Hope it will be fixed soon. P3CFE Posted Monday at 03:09 PM Author Posted Monday at 03:09 PM Thanks for the Answer I wil have to look it up, .. I was a F16 technical Instructor (Dutch MLU), and a Flight Engineer on the Dutch P3C Orion. It was definately a fact that the Gearhandle light indicated the situation that the Gear is not in the position commanded by the Gearhandle. The Gear Handle light not On when selected down, would be very strange in any Aircraft with a Landing Gear System, and would have no useful purpose. Maybe some real life pilots could step in and conferm this. But i will deliver documentation if i find it. Regards
