correct as is Automatic Ranging when Arming and Disarming the Guns

When you set the range for the gun to automatic by clicking left TSD B6 on the WPM page to choose the range and then typing A in the keypad and pressing enter, it will not maintain automatic range if you disarm and rearm.  That is not the behavior with the rockets.  With rockets you can arm and disarm without losing the automatic range setting.

Strange the auto range was never kept when wasing any weapon. It's new that it is kept with the rockets.

That's why I never use it and always set it to 800m like Casmo used to do IRL

This is correct behavior and this hasn't changed since initial release in 2022. The reason for this is explained in the FAQ section of the DCS AH-64D manual on page 651.
